in the first season (i think) an african-american family moves into wisteria lane. they are made up of the mother and two sons. 1 son is retarded and locked in a basement, the other just tries to keep that secret within their walls.

The Mother was Betty Applewhite-- played Alfre Woodard.
Caleb was the son locked in the basement, but he wasnt retarded they had thought he had killed another girl before they moved to Wisteria Lane.. played by two different actors:
